After a fun night of sail measuring, the fleet lined up for three days of racing on beautiful Waterloo Bay. The weather was neither beautiful, nor prefect (as the advertising gurus would have you believe!), though it was Easter and it ALWAYS rains at Easter.....

The crew on WalterTurnbull were not that confident going into the regatta as the fleet had definitely lifted its game over the last 12 months and many of the boats were sporting new sails and had the bit between their teeth.

When push came to shove though, Matty Owen showed his class and was able to sit the last race out with the title in the bag.
